AO DAI MUSEUM

Officially opening its doors on January 22, 2014, the Ao Dai Museum has been steadfast in its mission to preserve the nation’s diverse cultural heritage. Beyond the “History of Ao Dai” exhibition and a collection of Ao Dai belonging to figures who have significantly contributed to the country across various fields, the museum also features thematic displays such as “Ao Dai – Cultural Heritage” and “Bau Truc Pottery.” Notably, the museum emphasizes showcasing Ao Dai associated with Vietnam’s unique Intangible Cultural Heritages recognized by UNESCO as Representative List of the Humanity, including Xoan singing, Quan ho folk songs, Vi-Giam folk songs, and Don ca tai tu.
Founded and built based on the vision of artist and designer Si Hoang, since 2015, the Ao Dai Museum has become a cultural project owned, managed, and operated by The Signature Company.
Located on an islet in Long Phuoc Ward, Thu Duc City, within a poetic 20,000m² natural landscape with a serene Zen-like atmosphere, the museum’s architecture is a harmonious blend of Quang Nam’s traditional “nha ruong” style and the distinctive characteristics of the Southern Vietnamese river region.
In addition to its permanent thematic displays, the museum has organized numerous short-term exhibitions with unique themes. Furthermore, the museum hosts and participates in scientific seminars and workshops regarding the Ao Dai, alongside profound cultural performances and exchanges.
